 Plans are well advanced at the large
Borders store on New Mersey Shopping Park
in Speke to make the celebration of Beatle’s
Day on July 10 the largest, loudest and most
informative in Liverpool!
“The event, one of the most imaginative
highlights of the Liverpool City of Culture
2008 programme, really appeals to our multimedia
culture,” says Borders Manager, Derek
Orford.
He and his colleagues are really pulling out
all the stops to make it a day to remember
for all visitors to the store. There will be
an evening Beatles Quiz with prizes, a survey
to find Liverpool’s favourite Beatles
song, live and recorded music, poetry, drawing
competition for children and much more.
“All the staff are fired up to provide
an unforgettable day and a lot of surprises,” explains
Derek, adding: “ and anyone who comes
into the store with a Beatles wig will get
special treatment.”
