Jude proves top name at Borders
 The name Jude is very popular with visitors to the
large Border’s store on New Mersey Shopping Park
in Speke. The Thomas Hardy novel that uses the name
in its title is an evergreen favourite with readers,
and customers have now voted Hey Jude as their
favourite Beatles song.
It came top in a Border’s poll to celebrate
Beatles Day on July 10.
“Our customers definitely went for the more
a romantic and catchy tunes, and, with one possible
exception, they all carry a message,” explains
store manager, Derek Orford.
The top 5 are:
1. Hey Jude
2. In My Life
3. Long & Winding Road
4. Yellow Submarine
5. Across the Universe
The winner of the In-Store Beatle’s competition
was Sue Roberts from Aigburth.
